The October Revolution and the Bolshevik rule under Vladimir Lenin disrupted the life of little Ayn Rand when the Bolsheviks took control of all Russia. Her father lost his business and her family fled to Crimea. It was in 1917 and Ayn Rand was just 12 years old.
