Mo: My number has two periods. One period has a 7 in the hundreds place. The other has an 8 in the tens place. Bo: My number also has two periods. One has a 1 in the hundreds place. The other has a 2 in the tens place. Mo: All other digits in our numbers are zeros. So how can it be that your number is greater than my number? What are Mo’s and Bo’s numbers?

Answer:

Mo:780

Bo:120

Explanation:

We are given that

Mo:my number has two periods .One period has a 7 in the hundred place , other has an 8 in the tens place and other digits are zero.

Then the number of Mo's=
7* 100+8* 10+0=780

Bo: My number has two periods, one has a 1 in the hundred place ,other has a 2 in the tens place and other digits are zero.

Therefore, number of Bo's =
1* 100+2* 10+0=120

Hundred place of Mo's number is greater than the hundred place of Bo's number , therefore,Mo's number is greater than the Bo's number.
