I believe it is a.anagnorisis
It's the moment where a character realizes the true nature of themselves or their situation, gaining important insight about their nature. I'm pretty that's the correct answer.hubris is excessive pride or over confidence. The character in question seems to display remorse/regret not pride so I'm going with a.
