you see before tanks allies used armored cars but since no man's land is muddy and full of holes wheeled vehicles get stuck easily so the British experimented and then used them at the battle of Flers-Courcelette but the Germans then quickly found a way to counter these tanks they used K-Bullets, Reversed bullets and the first AT rifle the T-Gewehr. K-bullets replaced the reversed bullets due to a chance of exploding when bout to get shot but still ended up in a stalemate.
