In order to get the decimal you need to divide the numerator (12) by the denominator (15), when you divide that you get 0.8
In order to get the percentage all you have to do is multiply the numerator (12) and the denominator (15) which is 0.8, then multiply the quotient by 100 which calculates to 80%.
