To multiply a rational number(fraction), you multiply across the numerators and denominators. For example:
(A)/(B)×
(X)/(Y)=
(AX)/(BY) or if
(3)/(5)×
(3)/(6)=
(9)/(30) which you need to reduce by 3 since it is a common multiple
(9)/(30) = (3)/(10)
