-5x+x/2=9 first times the two
-5x+x=18 the -5x and x can be combined to equal -4x
-4x=18 divide by -4
x=-4.5
or -9/2

-5x+x/2=9

- 4x/2=9

-(2^2-1 *x)=9

2x/2=- 9/2

x=- 9/2

x= -4 1/2
