No it is not because 3/4 is the same as 6/8 and it is not thicker than 7/8

you need to convert the 3/4 to the same common denominator of 8 as the 7/8.
3/4 = 6/8
7/8 - 6/8 = 1/8
So no 3/4 is not larger, it's smaller by 1/8.
