President Nixon had not informed Congress of his authorization of invasion of Cambodia in 1970. Bombing and invading Cambodia was without Congressional approval. The main reason of invasion was that Cambodia supported Vietcong. Many members of Congress acused Nixon of having widened the Vietnam war illegally. On December 29, 1970 Congress passed the Amendment restricting the introduction of US troops in Laos, Tahiland and Cambodia. Answer: D. forbade the use of US troops in Cambodia and Laos.
