Hello

The colonies declared independence for many reasons, but the most common reason was due to taxes. England was going bankrupt from all the wars it had started, so King George lll started to tax his own people more and more. George was afraid that if he taxed the citizens even more, they would rebel, so he decided to tax the colonists. The colonists, not used to being taxed, started uprisings and rebellions. When King George sent troops to stop the rebels, war was declared.
