When examining primary sources, it is important to evaluate the creator's purpose.

Primary sources are primary proof and artifacts of the past. they will they may letters, pictures, maps, government documents, diaries, oral accounts, pamphlets, or leaflets. Some could also be revealed, others not. Some primary sources may be judged more reliable than others, but every source is biased in some way.
