As a result of the US joining WWI in 1916, industry production in America boomed. Also, more employment opportunities opened for women and African-Americans, and women became the main employees of factories. World War I hugely affected US politics due to the ratification of the nineteenth amendment, which gave women equal rights as men as a result of their wartime efforts.
