(Might know this) The marshall plan was made to be able to contain communism from spreading farther from its origin, Russia.

The marshall plan helped strengthen containment of communisms spread by either giving resources, money or weaponry to help combat any forces trying to take over a country. With that, the country could defend itself from any other forces.

Examples: (Giving Weapons) Afganistan

(Giving Money and equipment) Greece and Turkey

(U.S. forces intervene/fight and successfully stop spread) Korea
