The central location, access to the Mediterranean Sea, and most importantly the fertile ground. The Nile River has annual floods, which upturn the soil and provide a layer of silt in the surrounding areaas well as ..easy access to the ocean makes easy for trade

The Nile River Valley was well suited for settlement and habitation because it was an area with fertile soil and access to the river which provided life for the peoples who settled along the river. With irrigation and the harnessing of the rivers other powers it proved to be a vital resource that sustained life for centuries.
