For example is there an x value that makes it contravene a sensible mathematical operation like diving by zero or taking the square root of negative number (which though possible isn't done in real numbers). This function takes any x value as long as it is a real number. And in turn it gives all kinds of y values from negative infinity to positive infinity. So the range of this function is all real numbers
