If the point P is on the graph of a function f, find the corresponding point on the graph of the given function.. P(5, 8); y = 1/4f (1/3x) − 1

we only know the value of f(5) therefore we need to figure out what we would put in for x in f(1/3 x) to get 5 set 1/3 x=5x=15
now if x= 15 then f(1/3 x)
= f(1/3×15)
= f(5)=8
and so
1/4×8−2=2−1=1

therefore the "corresponding point" is (15,1)
