Nitrous oxide is naturally present in our atmosphere and is a part of the nitrogen cycle. However, increases in N2O can lead to global warming and heating of the atmosphere. It is actually about 280 times greater than CO2 in Global Warming Potential. The majority of N2O in the atmosphere comes from agriculture but also comes from transportation and industry.
