You can rewrite the relation R {(3, −5), (1, 2), (−1, −4), (−1, 2)} as the rule:

3\rightarrow -5,\\1\rightarrow 2,\\-1\rightarrow -4,\\-1\rightarrow 2.

The range of relation are all y that are maped to. In your case, the range of relation is the set

\{-5,2,-4\}.

Answer: correct choice is B.
