Okay well the way I do it is like this. When ever the next hour hits 10 minutes that is one hour then add the minutes left. So from 7:10a.m. to 6:10p.m. is 11 hours. Now the rest of the minutes. 6:35 -6:10=:25. So she has been away from the house for 11 hours and 25 minutes

Answer:

The time she was out of the house is:

11 hours and 25 minutes.

Explanation:

It is given that:

Jasmine left the house at 7:10 am and get back at 6:35 pm.

This means that she left the house in the morning and was back in evening.

Now, in order to calculate time we go by a simple technique:

7:10 am-8:10 am=1 hour

8:10 am-9:10 am=2 hour

9:10 am-10:10 am= 3 hour

10:10 am-11:10 am= 4 hour

11:10 am-12:10 pm= 5 hour

12:10 pm-1:10 pm= 6 hour

1:10 pm-2:10 pm= 7 hour

2:10 pm-3:10 pm= 8 hour

3:10 pm-4:10 pm= 9 hour

4:10 pm-5:10 pm= 10 hour

5:10 pm-6:10 pm= 11 hour

Also from 6:10 pm to 6:35 pm there are: 25 minutes.

This means that the total time she was out of the house is: 11 hours and 25 minutes.
