you are looking for the number or numbers that makes f(x) equal to g(x).

Sub in each number is one way to do it, and might be the easiest, if you are not to up on algebra.

2.5 x 2 - 10.5 = -5.5 64*0.5*2 = 64 So, 2 is NOT an answer.

or through algebra

2.5x-10.5=64*0.5*x

Take 64*0.5x for 32x, so

2.5x-10.5=32x then minus 2.5x from both sides

-10.5= 32x-2.5x

-10.5 = 32x-2.5x

-10.5=29.5x

divide both sides by 29.5

so x = 10.5/29.5 , but that is not an answer.

Are you sure you wrote the equations correctly?
