Is diffusion the only way materials can enter the cell?

Diffusion is not the only way for particles to enter the cell. A process called endocytosis is another way for particles to enter cells by active transport. The process means engulfing and requires energy. On the other hand, another active transport process called exocytosis is the process of removing particles from the cells.
