How did the US foreign policy change after industrialization

It was a very complicated time politically, and labour-unions were getting stronger, fighting for workers'-rights.

What really spurned it was the fact that the Industrial Revolution caused widespread poverty and despair for many, there wasn't a real "middle-class".

Either you worked in the factory, or you owned it.
