Fighting between the royal clans, the eunuchs, and the Confucian scholars led to the fall of Han dynasty.

The Han dynasty was the second imperial dynasty of China following the Qin dynasty (221–206 BC) and existed prior to the Three Kingdoms period. The Han dinasty protracted four centuries and is considered a golden age in Chinese history. The emperor was at the pinnacle of Han society.
