The statement that all types of beer have approximately the same alcohol content is false. In contrast, beer comes in a wide range of alcohol content. According the type of yeast used during the fermentation process beers are categorized as either lagers or ales. American Lager for example has the following alcohol content 3.2-4.0%, German Pilsner 4.6-5.3% , Mailbock: 6.0-8.0% . This shows the variety of alcohol content in different types of beer.
