x^-m=1/(x^m)
y=6/(x^4) is the equation
if x is halves
replace x with x/2
y=6/((x/2)^4)
y=6/((x^4)/16)
y=6/((x^4)(1/16))
y=((6)(16))/(x^4)
y=16(6/(x^4))
y increases by 16 times
