I think the best answer that i could give to this kind of question is 12. Based on the Conjecture: a number that is divisible by 4 is also divisible by 8 so the counter example to it is 12 because it is divisible by 4 but not eight.

The correct answer is:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

While 12 is divisible by 4, it is not divisible by 8. Both 24 and 40 are divisible by 4 and 8, and 26 is not divisible by either 4 or 8.
