Chlorine-35 has 17 protons. how many protons and neutrons does the isotope chlorine-36 have?

To find the number of neutrons in an atom you can use and equation

N = Mass no. - Protons

N of chlorine-36 = 36 - 17 = 19

so chlorine-36 has 19 neutrons

17 protons and 19 neutrons. isotopes of the same element have the same number of protons but a different number of neutrons
