b = w + 11 <== betsey is 11 yrs older then waldo
b = 3w - 15 <== betsey is 15 yrs less then 3 times waldo

solve : w + 11 = 3w - 15...find w
w - 3w = -15 - 11
-2w = - 26
w = 13

b = w + 11...b = 13 + 11...b = 24
