Free radical is an atom or group of atoms containing at least one unpaid electron and existing for a brief period of time before reacting to produce a stable molecule.

lone pair electrons means that those electrons which do not participate in chemical bonding and bonding pair means the electrons which involves in the chemical bonds formation.
