Fame is a Bee," by Emily wingspaninson

Fame is a bee,
It has a song—
It has a sting—
Ah, too, it has a wing.

In one paragraph of at least three to five sentences, analyze the tone and imagery used in the line in bold. Identify the mood the author intended to create with this imagery, as well as the connotations used in the words "Ah" and "wing." Use proper spelling and grammar.

In this poem, Dickinson is stating that fame is sweet to have in its own way, but it also has negative aspects. She mentions a single "wing". This could mean several different things. It could mean that with only one wing, "fame" is only able to fly some before falling or spiraling down and disappearing.

tone : kind of depressing

What this poem is trying to show is that fame has its ups and downs. it is a song because it's a great experience with lots of perks. It's also a sting because you cant live a normal life without paparazzi getting in your face, taking pictures and wont let you enjoy your time out in the community. the author uses the words "Ah" and "wing" to show the noticeable fact that being famous will allow you to achieve greater lengths and to be able to "fly" and accomplish your life's dreams.
