Dividing the numbers given above, we obtain an answer of 2.380952381 x 10^-9. Writing the answer into two significant figures, then it will be 2.4x10^-9. Scientific notation is a method scientists use in order to handle very large or small numbers.

Dividing the numerical values of the given gives an answer of 0.238. Now, dividing the x10's gives an answer of x10^-8. The answer is supposedly 0.238x10^-8. Converting this value to a scientific notation with only 2 significant figures gives 2.4x10^-9.
