what makes parliamentary government different from the united states is : its legislature has The authority over the executive branch, with the ability to select and remove executive leaders
But with a side note that that executive branch is still held accountable to its legislature. It's possible in parliamentary government that the head of the states is not the head of the government

hope this helps
