The correct answer is B. The salamanders would have no place to mate and lay their eggs. Thus, they would soon die out in that particular location if the developer actually goes through with his plan. Salamanders use the woodlot to procreate and keep their eggs hidden there, so if there is no woodlot, there will be fewer salamanders too.
