2 alternative sources to generate electricity:
Solar Energy: Electricity can be generated here by use of solar panels. Solar radiation from the solar panels is converted to electricity by the panels.
Advantages: i) The sun is always shining so it is renewable ii) it does not result in flaring of gases into the atmosphere.
Disadvantages: i) During rainy period sunlight may be small ii) the technology is still expensive for now.
Wind Energy:
This harnesses the power of the wind in turning turbines to generate electricity.
Advantages: i) Renewable source of wind. ii) It is easily to implement.
Disadvantages i) There could be dangerous winds which could destroy the turbine (ii) There might be no winds for some days.
