Scientists have concluded that large mammals, such as the woolly mammoth, roamed the earth before the ice age. How do we know that the woolly mammoth was alive in the ice age?

we would know that it was alive if they found bones of it where scientists say it used to live, and if there is no REAL evidence of bones then its a made up animal. I don't know if this helped.... i hope it did.
