2/5(z+1)=y for z I'm not sure what to do.

In order to solve for z, you need to isolate the variable.
2/5(z+1)=y
z+1=5/2(y)
z+1=(5y)/2
z=(5y)/2-1 (or, if your teacher wants it this way, (5y-2)/2)
