Lysosomes are the specialized vesicles that hold the various types of enzyme which are used to digest the things. It is used to digest food or help in the break down the cell when it dies. Hence, known as the suicidal bag of the cell.

Inside the cell lysosomes act like a small digestion machine, they are at work when cell eat or absorb something inside the cell. When a material is absorbed inside the cell lysosomes release their enzyme.

These lysosomal enzymes break down the complex molecules such as sugar and protein in to simple substances. It digest the cell organelles for providing nutrient to the cell.
