Why did the Emancipation Proclamation score big in Europe?

I don't think it 'score big' in Europe. Anyways the Europieans saw that we were changing our way of life, so they decided to adopt some of the things we were changing from society. Like slavery, religon, say in government, and economics. Hope that helps. Is their any answer choices?

In general, people in Europe were a bit ahead of the curve in opposing slavery compared to Americans.

Generally they were still racist and imperialist, but at least they'd abolished slavery already in their countries. Even Russia.
