After the United Nations determined the conflict in Darfur and concluded that it was not a 'Genocide', The U.N Security Council passed the Resolution 1556 which demanded that the Sudanese government disarms the Janjaweed and brings justice to those leaders who had incited and carried out human rights abuses.
