if you roll a fair six-sided die and a fair four-sided die, what is the probability that the dice add to 6 or higher?

The size of the sample space is 6*4=24.
Out of this, the outcomes that add up to 6 or higher are
1+5,6
2+4,5,6
3+3,4,5,6
4+2,3,4,5,6
for a total of 14 out of a sample space size of 24.
Therefore the probability is 14/24=7/12.
