What is the main goal of businesses that compete in a free enterprise system?

I believe the best answers for this question is freedom. There are many freedoms afforded by the free enterprise system. Because there are fewer government regulations on business, businesse owners are more free to do certain things, including engaging in competition with other businesses, enter into contracts, and make personal choices for their businesses.
