The answer is letter C. Global Mass Extinction

The end of the Mesozoic era was because of the mass extinction of plants and animals. There were a couple of theories that explained the mass extinction. There were two theories being supported by many scientists. They believed that mass extinction could have happen because of the climate change. Another theory was that extinction happened because there was a meteorite that had hit the earth and possibly have killed the living creatures due to its impact.
