The outcome of the story of the Minotaur, killed by Theseus, a hero who was able to overcome the complex maze of Crete leaving the labyrinth alive, led King Minos to arrest Daedalus and Icarus in the labyrinth. Minos feared that the architect would reveal the secrets of the construction of the maze.

Daedalus was imprisoned by Minos because Daedalus in the labyrinth because Daedalus seduced Minos's wife the handsome bull by building a cow suit for her. He also aided Theseus' escape in the labyrinth. Instead of Minos talking to Daedalus, he instead imprisoned him.
