The Tyndall effect is a phenomenon wherein particles in a colliod or suspension causes light scattering. When sugar id dissolved and two drops of food coloring is added on a glass of water, the Tyndall effect cannot be observed. This is because the sugar particles are broken down into smaller particles until the particles cannot be seen with our eyes and resulting to not scatter the light through the solution.
