How is vapor pressure related to the temperature of liquid?

For liquids, generally the vapor pressure of the liquid increases when the temperature of the liquid increases. On the other hand,  vapor pressure also decreases when temperature decreases. In these relations, there is a direct relation between vapor pressure and temperature.
