if you add 12(blue) 14(red) 6(yellow) you get 32 so 12/32 is 0.37

Answer:

(3)/(8) or 37.5%

Explanation:

A bowl of candy is sitting on the counter.

Blue pieces = 12

Red pieces = 14

Yellow pieces = 6

Total candy = 12 + 14 + 6 = 32 pieces

The probability of randomly selecting a blue piece =
(12)/(32) =
(3)/(8)

The probability of randomly selecting a blue piece =
(3)/(8) 37.5%
