I guess there's should be various statements to choose. So in my view the right statement to describe imagery in the first chapter: Society and Solitude has a contemplative tone, while Nature has a more lyrical and whimsical tone.

Answer:

Both use a majority of natural images.

From Chapter I of Nature and in Society and Solitude, natural images were used to show the actual imagery of the surrounding environment. This imagery make people to have a real life effect, which captures the interest of people more. It brings and creates the required feelings that portray the impression by writers on them.

The statement that describes the imagery is that both use a majority of natural images to give appropriate impression.
