Many colonists would often worry about starvation and leadership in their colony. Governor de la Warr came into Jamestown, they had problems with food supply, luckily they were feed by the Indian Settlers, however, the conflict arose when the Indians started refusing to give them food, thus started the raids between the Englishmen and the Indian Settlers. Because of this, John Smith had trained the natives to plant and disciplines them to work in the field. He had met problems with the harsh weather, water supply and severe attacks from the Powhattan Indians
