\theta = 38^o \\\ tan(38^o) = (x)/(3), x = 3tan(38^o), x\approx2.344 \\\ sin(38^o) = (2.344)/(y), y = (2.344)/(sin(38^o)), y \approx 3.807Geometry Rule: SOH CAH TOA.
Sine = opposite over hypotenuse
Cosine = adjacent over hypotenuse
Tangent = opposite over hypotenuse
I won't solve all of these for you because I find that solving it on your own is an important step in learning to actually understand how this works.
