Quick please! Complete the equation for the linear function whose graph contains the points (2, 5) and (3, 0).

y −___ = ___ (x − 2)

Simply set the blanks to new variables a and b and substitute in for x and y.

5-a=b(0)

5-a=0

a=5

In the second equation:

0-a=b(3-2)

-5=b

So b=-5.

Thus, the line is y-5=-5(x-2).
